    Night of the Comet

    ★★

Comet raptures the world leaving teen sisters Samantha and Regina to wander around. There’s some scientists being creepy.

The premise sounded funny but then I started watching and I was really bored. I enjoyed the ending with Regina trying to form a law abiding conventional family with hector and two 8 year olds they found in a desolate wasteland. I also enjoyed the mall scene and the various outfit wearing marauders.

It’s not as funny as you think it should…

    Wonka

    ★★½

When Willy wonka was a young man he apparently got a hit out on him by the chocolate mafia while legally enslaved in a laundromat because he can’t read.

I went in cynical but I had a pretty good time. Would’ve…

    And then Melanie just…

    Challengers

Former tennis phenomenon Tashi becomes the coach to her husband Art. Mid-late in his career he’s fizzling out to both of their dissatisfactions. He hopes for a morale pickup in a challenger tournament but uhoh his ex bestie/roommate/doubles partner/ tashi’s ex boyfriend is in the same tournament. Messy emotional baggage abounds

I really enjoyed the structure of this movie. It’s nice and tight, focuses right in on Tashk, art and pat. Starting at this turning point match (not a big…
