A bit of an anticlimactic ending, but I read that was because the camera crew got lost before they could capture the arrival to Madagascar (?) .
Very quiet and comforting, in spite of the constant threat of the boat falling to pieces. Bob's feelings for his crew and lost friend are palpable and moving. Makes me want to read his memoirs about this journey, which seem more densely packed with adventure- this short documentary focuses on the crew's day-to-day.

Hercules in New York 1970

This is a gay romantic comedy in which Hercules, played by a baby Schwarzenegger (dubbed Arnold Strong in the credits) in 1969, leaves Olympus (a public park with brick walls) and immediately befriends a nebbishy pretzel salesman, Pretzie. Wacky misunderstandings ensue. Hercules gets a lady love interest, but all the real physicality and romance and chemistry is between him and Pretzie ; if you watch this through to the end, I'm sure you'll be convinced. Pluto makes an appearance as…
