Butterfly Kisses 2018
15 minutes in I realized I have seen this before and forgot about it, which is basically the review. Bonus points for being set/filmed 15 minutes from my childhood home. Somewhat interesting premise but I can think of at least three local legends that may have made a better film.

Nah. I am absolutely a fan of found footage, but the last several films in this series are not great. This had some cool setups and interesting camerawork at times, but ultimately boring and predictable. Likely better as a theater-going experience? Too bad I'll never know.

Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor 2023
The original Hell House LLC is a top 3 found footage film for me (alongside Rec (2007) and the original Blair Witch Project). This is so, so much better than Hell House LLC II and III but takes enough stylistic influence from those to limit this film to being good, but not great. Love the origin story, could do without the horror tropes.
