The Wandering Earth 2019
Lui Qi dodges more falling buildings and debris in space than a round of Rainbow Road on Mario Kart… anyways, this movie is a pretty solid action film (imagine you combined 2012, Core, Snowpiercer, and Interstellar all into one movie) but still holds onto hope that humanity will ultimately come together. As a video by Accented Cinema mentioned, “this is a deeply Chinese movie”, and after watching it, it makes more sense how a the significance of the Wandering Earth project is deeply embedded into Chinese mythology and philosophy as well.
