I went into the theatre not knowing much about Elvis, expect for the fact that he was an icon with amazing talent. It was really interesting to find out more about his life and journey as such a iconic artist. Austin Butler absolutely killed the role and I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins an Oscar for putting his whole heart into this film. I do hope he’s able to pull more roles in the future without everyone automatically associating…

I finally got around to watching Black Swan. I really liked the symbolism of Nina’s hallucinations as she was losing her innocence and was giving herself over to the darkness. The movie had me wondering how old Nina actually was supposed to be at first, because of how her mom treated her, and how her room looked. But I realize that was because her mom only saw her as her “sweet girl” and couldn’t bear the thought of her being anything else.
Thomas made me feel icky, because he abused Nina and Beth. I felt so bad for them.
