  okay here we go

  This is my favourite film in the entire world ever. I’m gonna bullet point

  - the animation is so beautiful, hayao Miyazaki is actually a genius and the adaptation of the little mermaid, taking an original story and changing it so well that it feels like a completely new story but still has all the special important elements of the original? Astounding.

  - the score is so fun and exciting! This film is so clearly marketed…

  Biggest pile of crap ever? Would give it no stars if the cinematography wasn’t so beautiful, only redeeming thing about this film (except Jacob Elordi) ofc. Didn’t enjoy it, the characters weren’t likeable enough to root for them, I didn’t understand Oliver’s motivations though they were ‘overexplained’ at the end. Ceepy characters for the sake of being creepy is not an entertaining or deep concept. Clearly, did not enjoy.
