Arrival 2016
Still my absolute favorite movie on re-watch. It’s hard to put into words how beautiful this movie is. From theme to score to cinematography to the performance of Amy Adams. Our language shapes our reality, our understanding of others is grounded in our understanding of ourselves, and grief cannot exist without the joy of the journey that leads up to it. To rewatch this movie feels like the harshness of uncertainty wrapped in warm, reassuring hug.

Captain America: Brave New World 2025
Steve gave people something to believe in, you give people something to aspire to.
I was going to give this a 3, fun movie but average for the MCU. But I watched this movie in theaters next to a little boy who was holding his Sam Wilson action figure and kicking his feet with excitement (or sugar rush) the whole time. It’s clear he our new Captain is his idol.

Buy Now! The Shopping Conspiracy 2024
Really promising and got its core message across but lacked depth/details that show just how malicious corporations are being ex. Corporate mandates and actions that have directly contributed to waste, details of legal action they’ve taken against people trying to expose them, etc. Sort of just re-presented a lot of what is generally known.
