The Hunger Games 2012
this movie is so good. i think the one issue is the sanitization of the worst parts of the games (the dog mutts with the tribute's eyes, the deserved brutality of clove's death, the mercy killing of cato, etc.), which water down the message of the books imo. most of the minor plot changes are acceptable due to the shift away from the book format. don't like the prioritization of the love triangle. honestly idgaf that gale saw her kiss peeta... like ok?

eh. loved jane, was iffy on john, but didn’t like how they were basically THE gendered stereotypes of a married couple… like try a little harder. great cgi for 2005 imo. i guess just a bit disappointing, the story got very confusing and unlikable about half an hour in. i liked the ending, great callback
