one star for tom hardy, one for timothy olyphant. it was… it was something for sure. a knock off john wick, for one. i’m afraid the cast couldn’t save it for me, mostly because there was not nearly enough timothy for my tastes. also not much of a script or story and they basically all die at the end rip.

the acting was incredible, but i didn’t feel it much.

“I really would have liked to see her.” A fun time, and made me surprisingly emotional? like, why would they make me emotional like this to a MAROON 5 SONG of all things. 😭

“is this how Rome treats its heroes?!” evidently so. this is happening over and over, lol. you should know, Lucy, you were there the first time too. Anyways, Lion King looks better in this live action remake than the last! also “Wood or steel, a point is still a point.” was hot so he gets points for that. two stars simply for Paul Mescal looking good. Also wasn’t a fan of the lesser Commudus twins.

“Are you not entertained?!” i was! i am! was it the most amazing movie i have ever watched? no, not particularly but we had a fun time rewatching to gear up and watch the new one. Commudus was a highkey weirdo freak though.

“i always wanted a BROTHA, just like YOU” did he tho? it was sweet and cute, fun enough with good music but it didn’t have the same charm as the og and kind of undermines it a bit in places. i enjoyed the voice cast though.

I don’t want to be a nugget! loved the og as a kid and really enjoyed this one too tbh

“Are you sure you didn't just really, really, want them to, but it never quite worked out?” I never go into a marvel movie expecting amazing cinema, but good times were had and nostalgia was felt!

it had some great visual moments but absolutely hollow and empty watch to be honest. our first watch as a married couple though, so kinda romantic! 🥹💕
