So do you all get blinded by a movie just because A24 puts their stamp on it?
Don’t get me wrong, this movie raises interesting discussions on religion, control, and beliefs. And I’m very happy that it didn’t turn out like the trailer was advertising (we don’t need another Saw/Escape Room. Especially one that starts out like Human Centipede/Knock Knock). But this does not deserve the praise that I’m seeing in other people’s reviews

This is the most uncomfortable I have ever felt while watching a movie. I couldn’t even watch half of it because it was so frustrating. And to top it all off… it’s a true story
Had this been done in a more cinematic way I might’ve given it a higher rating. But because it told the story as is AND I couldn’t watch most of it because all characters were pissing me off, I’m giving it a 2/5. And one whole mark of that is for Ann Dowd because she carried this movie
