i was confused at the end. the music changed suddenly, it went from disheartening to euphoric like that. jancey grabbed moonee’s hand and was leading her, when usually it’s the opposite, and suddenly they were in disneyworld.
i’ve come to the realization, as soon as the music changed, that’s when moonee was grabbed from cps. running away to disneyworld with her best friend was a way to escape from such a traumatic experience. this was all in her mind.
