I watched about 75% of this movie and my goodness what a disappointment. This should have been shot on film and lit differently to keep up with the incredible visuals of the Gladiator. Gladiator II was a downgrade in so many aspects—plot, pacing, character development, etc. This was an unnecessary sequel with so much build up for no reason.

Definitely Autuer. A highly cinematic experience. But do I feel conflicted and bamboozled? Yes. My take away is that the film was highlighting that animals are wild in nature. You can try to tame an animal. You can train it and put it in a silly costume but at its core the animal is wild. When you trigger that animal with sound, looking it in the eye, or whatever, you will release something in it. You can’t tame a beast.
