Some parts were disgusting, pointless, or just genuinely distasteful. It's visually beautiful and there's a lot you can interpret and read into, but it's hard to take a movie philosophically seriously when it has such disgusting treatment of animals 👎. I would've rated it much higher otherwise.
It just has a general vibe of pretentiousness in any of those shocking scenes, in that the director feels he can cross ethical lines for his le vision.
Really really loved the first half, but the second is kinda dull. Great action and so much crazier/better than I expected. I'd really recommend it 👍
