Loving Vincent 2017
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
this is beautiful. i wish we got to see vincent himself in color more. in life, his vibrancy was seemingly so big that it had to spill onto the canvas and it would have been lovely to remember him that way in this film, but either way the film is gorgeous and a stunning artistic feat. the artists deserve so much credit for painting this all by hand.
listening to don mcclean's "vincent" as we looked at the side-by-sides of his paintings and the characters was deeply touching and made me shed a little tear. :')
