I think this movie definitely exists in a space of its own. It's unique, it has a little more emotional weight than your run-of-mill one-man-army action flicks.

Perhaps it falters in its depiction of autism. Or in its attempt to connect every second character to the protagonist's backstory. But it tries to do something different. And that counts.

    3. The first chapter of this film -- with the cursed grandma as the antagonist -- was genuinely way…

Started this movie in 2020. Completed it last night.

I'd have loved for it to have been plainly about people in a small, desolate town experiencing something extraterrestrial on a sleepy night and then returning to their usual lives after. Our protagonists investigate sightings of an unidentified flying object, witness something vague and supernatural themselves, get a good 'radio story' out of it, find success in their future endeavours, and the question of belief is left entirely to the viewers.…
