  After enjoying Noé’s film Climax, I had some hopes about this movie, but they were quickly squandered.
  I saw this last night at a cinema screening. I walked out after the brutal, extensive, graphic, and wholly unnecessary rape scene. In fact, everything about this movie is unnecessary: the violence, the vulgarity, the camera movements, I could go on. The only somewhat enjoyable part of it was the soundtrack. There is nothing that could, in my eyes, make this movie justifiable. Brutality and vulgarity for the sake of being vulgar and brutal, for shock value. No merit in this film, if you could even call it that.

Following
