This is so disappointing. I should’ve known it would be considering the Russo brothers directed it. If I was Nico Walker I would feel incredibly let down. Terrible dialogue. The one redeeming quality of this film was the silly dumb names they gave to each bank he robbed, but that’s about it lol. The essence of a book like “Cherry” needed more than this movie gave.

Incredible heart wrenching performances. Brody had me in tears within minutes and I love hating Alwyn. However, there were moments it fell flat. Being a 4 hour long film you would think the ending would feel more rewarding and emancipating, but instead it felt rushed and slightly disappointing. Overall I still enjoyed the beauty of the work but I had expected more.
