  in the first two movies of this franchise i was able to ignore the ideologically flawed undertones of the story in favor of the humor and fun cinematography. this latest movie, however, is not only lacking humor but is distinctly more heavy handed with its nationalism and reverence of british imperialism.

  there are so many interesting ways to investigate the moral complexities and philosophical questions regarding the bomb and you did none of it???? you had three hours and the best you could do was “morally gray war hero looks sad and confused”???….bruther. not a fan. it looks kinda cool tho (i guess?)
