    Pretty awesome movie. Absolutely blown away by the scale and world-building, the complexity which the movie unapologetically throws you into and just forces you to pick everything  up as it goes. Love when movies create an entire new universe, and it actually feels like the movies events, although significant, are only a piece of a colossal history, not basically the entire history of that universe.

    Hans Zimmer is the best cinematic composer of all time and I will fight a sandworm…

    My first Cronenberg, and it definitely left an impression.

    Actually a pretty sad movie about a scientist who’s only life goal culminates in a creation that destroys him, and his girlfriend helplessly watches him succumb to the horrific consequences.

    The body horror is graphic, with the effects holding up exceedingly well today. It’s amazing how practical effects age less in 40 years than CGI ages in 4.

    Not at all what I expected, but that’s actually a good thing here.…

    Clearly a very divisive film, as one can see from the review spread. I can tell right now it’s not for everyone; a lot of ppl are gonna be annoyed by its filming style, confusing nature or just the slow burn aspect. That’s totally fair.
