one of the most nonsensical movies i've ever seen. it could've lean into an 'infinity pool'-type vibe or evolved into something meaningful, but instead, it lands as more of a dumbwatch experience. that said, demi moore and margaret qualley both were great in their roles.

Joker: Folie à Deux 2024
in my opinion, it definitely wasn’t the worst movie of all time. there were moments when the musical numbers felt misplaced, but overall, it seems like this one either lost the direction set by the first film (almost making a joke out of the original joker movie) or is setting up something bigger (which i'm not sure will happen, but lets say it does). i’m also hoping the ending has some payoff, as it was quite disappointing to see those horrible guards not get what they deserved. joaquin phoenix did a great job nonetheless, though the writing around him felt quite weak.
