A Quiet Place: Day One 2024
I appreciated this movie a lot more than the previous one. Minimal dialogue spoken, making it a poetic and unique film. Enjoyed the reflection/contrast between the words we choose to give life to when dialogue is restricted vs. speaking without much thought/because you’re expected to share your voice, but not completely ready — differing perspectives that were represented well to me!
Takeaway for me: our words are powerful and harness as much connection as actions when they are used truthfully. 🥹

Made my eyes WATER, made me laugh, but also made me clench my booty cheeks to the couch at times! Never thought Godzilla would take me on such a ride of emotions lmao
Represented the inner turmoil of failing, a search for purpose, and the walls that (can) build around life as a result
Takeaway: lean into the discomfort of failing and befriend it to satisfy our lovely limbic systems and this drive for meaning most of us ache for being human.
