Black Panther 2018
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Always disappointing when the lore and influence of a film are way greater than the actual product. This is as generic as you can get for a film.
I could probably talk more about the great Kendrick Lamar helmed soundtrack album that Disney surprisingly gave full creative control. But this is not a brief on soundtracks.
Klaw shouldn't have been given the Darth Maul treatment and Killmonger was awesome. But the great Chadwich Boseman was iconic as Black Panther. What a great loss to cinema and just as a hero to so many.Translated from by -
Ali 2001
I can appreciate Michael Mann switching up the biopic genre on it's head and presenting a more vibes heavy film. But in the end, it's missing so much with what could have been a rich history of Muhammad Ali. There's too much filler that goes on for too long, making this a very long 2.5 hour film. Why couldn't they have used that 2.5 hours for storytelling? Just too many odd choices left me more disappointed than I thought I'd be.

The Exorcist III 1990
More of a mystery with moments of horror. And due to that nature it's a slow burn. That's all fine, until you're bludgeoned with multiple instances of extended monologue that serve no purpose other than to prove insanity of a character. Once they start, you sit in what feels like a straightjacket and never return to the immersion you may start the film with.

Handsome Antonio 1960
Pier Paolo Pasolini's tight script, I suspect, carries something a bit more sly than we the viewer are exposed to. I believe it's a bit more than impotence that is troubling our main, who is brilliantly played by Marcello Mastroianni.
