  party monster is a film that’s both of its time and of a time that never existed. the tone, distinct color correction, bizarre editing, and production value make for a fascinating watching experience. seemingly, 80% of the movie’s budget went toward retaining big-name talent and the other 20% went toward some incredible wardrobe choices. seth green steals the show as james st. james and now i kinda want to read disco bloodbath.
