Sunshine 2007
Like all second-tier space movies, the plot hinges on highly trained professional astronauts, literally the most cool-headed, rational people in the world, making hot-headed, irrational choices for dumb “human” reasons. Thinks it’s 2001 but it’s not, and the slasher ending is stupid, but cool visuals, and next to Interstellar it almost passes for smart.

It’s kind of unbelievable how good this. Jack Black saying “I’m gonna fucking do all the heroin in the fucking world!”, Tom Cruise doing what I assume is a perfect impression of Ari Emanuel, RDJ doing whatever the hell he’s doing. A masterpiece, but doesn’t quite transcend the dumb comedy genre.
