this movie felt like a whole ass tv show, not only because it was three hours long but because the pacing kind of made it seem like it had different acts and i wish i could rate every one of them. i can see it’s not really my genre but i’ll see with the other two

i feel like if i watched this movie when i was twelve i would’ve made emerson my entire personality and stole his clothes and style. still, it was good but still boring. the theme was obviously controversial but the thing that left me icky was the fact that they sexualized a sixteen years old actor. controversial themes are fine in fiction, they can and should be depicted, but the actor was too young to be in certain scenes--

for me, it revealed something about fragility. and about how our bodies never really belonged to us.
interesting topic with an even more interesting take. i liked the pacing of the dialogues, even if they were slow — but it’s comprehensible for a 20ish minute long film.

sometimes, artificiality doesn’t mean something is inherently bad, unnatural doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist. houses are unnatural, clothes are unnatural. we’ve been creating “our own artificiality” since the head of time. who knows where this could bring us?
