I think people don’t respect the story because of some of the scenes but it’s religious symbolism just adds to the story and how it relates to the violence of human nature, the way Ryo hides in the appearance of an angel and Akira is shown in the depiction of a devil is so symbolic and the full circle…

Perfect Blue 1997
This one made me think but was actually a masterpiece and shows so much of how women in any industry but especially film are so exploited and I was actually scared watching this. I still don’t know how to interpret all that but the plot and the art was so insane it really made me think.
