Fifty Shades of Grey 2015
Very interesting directing choices. The constant close ups of their faces and insipid dialogue made the movie seem to last forever. Makes a lot of sense that it’s based off a Twilight fanfic. Christian is so Edward but worse and creepier. They’re both overprotective stalkers that have women falling at their feet and getting depressed over them. It’s a very toxic fanfiction pattern where the women are manipulated and made to think that being with the man is their only source of happiness. Like girl your self worth is not determined by some loser emotionally unavailable conventionally attractive white man..
