felt like an elephant was sat on my chest for the whole second half of the movie. give zac efron his oscar now!! such a heartbreaking story which ripped my heart out. momentum from the physicality provides a deeper look into wrestling and how the sport drove generations of von erich’s. if chris von erich’s story was in the film it would have been that much more unbelievable. in a post watch deep dive, reading that fritz died of cancer and david’s daughter died as an infant made “the curse” convincing.

childhood favorite i could probably recite it word for word. something about it is so perfectly nostalgic from reading the books as a kid. say what you want about joey king but she did indeed stunt as ramona. selena is mother as always and i adore josh dumal.
