  Super slowburn, reluctant lovers trope. Something about the fashion choices is reflective of sapphic fashion history in a really cute way and the relationship between the two women and their place in the rural area is touching, realistic and in parts relatable.

  Higely underrated cringey, nostalgic entertainment with a gay twist - perfect for anyone who likes an easy-to-watch enemies to lovers chick flick but doesnt appreciate the heteronormative male-centric vibes that the genre usually gives. The villainess/love-interest is the perfect substitute for both the generic mean girl antagonist and the cheesy bad boy love interest, and the female characters have their own personalities whilst maintaining the cliquey dynamic that is a staple of the genre. Best of all, the discarded boyfriend of the heroine isn't coddled - his annoying character gets a satisfyingly lonely ending and just has to deal with it.
