I wish I saw this on the big screen honestly, because man what a fun movie. Much better than the third Bad Boys movie because the directors, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah truly did their thing on this one. So many fun batshit shots, even if we exclude that sexy first person shooter POV screen. There was some incredible use of drone shots in this movie and it all feels true to Michael Bay but with…

So, the first Orphan movie has always stuck with me for the utter creepiness of the premise and how much Isabelle Fuhrman (Ester) sells the Role. In the first 45 minutes of this prequel, it was going in such a derivative direction and I thought that it would end up as just a newer and maybe lesser copy of the original, but man that twist really sold it. Didn’t really see it coming at all and it truly changed the entire dynamic of the movie. Crazy twist crazy execution that truly dials up the fun here.

Absolute nonstop mayhem of a movie full of some of the most elaborate action sequences you’ve ever seen on film coupled with some of the most beautiful color saturations. The movie feels so damn vibrant, which is an interesting contrast to the desolate land the movie takes place in. This movie is a visual one, first and foremost, with dialogue truly taking a backseat here. The entire plot of the movie is completely conveyed with visuals that lack any dialogue at all.

What a thrilling batshit experience of a movie.

Genuinely incredible. Denis Villeneuve paints some of the most gorgeous expansive canvases with scale I don’t think I’ve ever seen in a blockbuster. The music and soundscape by Hans Zimmer absolutely consumes you.

Timothee chalamet is a monstrous presence and his portrayal of Paul’s ascension to Lisan Al Gaib was genuinely impressive. Austin Butler is another standout with his super fun psychotic masochistic portrayal of Feyd. That gladiator scene, which is our introduction to Feyd, completely shot in monochrome really…
