Enjoyed this when it was actually being zany (like, say, a man in a pigeon costume letting out a Wilhelm scream after getting trapped under a steel door), enjoyed it a lot less during the inert scenes of personal drama and pretty much whenever Mark Ruffalo was on screen; unfortunately for me, the script (which is a jumble, structurally and thematically) disagreed.

The best satirical work of our current era. A story about people who want all of the credit but none of the responsibility, adulation but not intimacy, and virtue without sacrifice. Emma Stone gives what might not just be a career best performance, but the best performance of TV or film of the 2020s, while Nathan Fielder and the Safdies curate a surreal, uncanny, uncomfortable vibe. I'll be thinking about the finale for months.
