Most realistic depiction of children being abandoned I’ve seen. The youngest kids not understanding the gravity of the situation and just living optimistically day by day, while the older kids who understand more, take their mother leaving the hardest.
The most heart breaking scene was when the little girl passed away, and the kids already defeated from being given such a rough upbringing, react so non chalantly to it, as if they almost predicted something like this would happen.
