of a pair with wendigo down to having the same monsters but suffers ever so slightly from its low budget where its predecessor benefited. that said very doomed & eerie horror, well-acted, love the idea of climate change as the earth’s antibacterial response to humanity

this’ll grow on me. kinda clicked at the very end when it becomes steven spielberg. first good post-credits scene in movie history.

the crow x speed racer - not as good as either of those, naomie harris stuff is DOA but this is pretty awesome. the final fight genuinely looks amazing. always funny when a movie from this time period gets slammed for being too serious. americans don’t know what’s good for them

very good performance from alanna de la rosa. i don’t think i like these as much when they’re as over-the-top serious as this is (weird thing to say about a movie where the main bad guy has a metal prosthetic fist that has a knife under it - it’s more of a tone thing)
