    Borderline

A horror-comedy that could’ve been fleshed out more, but was still entertaining for what it’s worth. I would’ve liked to have seen Sofia be more in her pop star role, but ultimately it was more about the obsessed fan dynamic. Good performances from the cast. Ray Nicholson masters his creepy smile, Samara Weaving continues to have bad experiences at weddings, and Jimmie Fails serves in every outfit he wears. Props to Alba Baptista for being fun and unhinged.

    Blink Twice

I was initially not in a hurry to watch BLINK TWICE since so many people said it reheated the nachos of a lot of other films, but now that more recent films are accused of reheating THESE nachos I figured I would give it a taste test.

I think I just enjoy this format? Sure it’s not entirely original, but it’s gripping enough with good performances so I can get behind it. Definitely an extra layer of terror added as a female viewer.

    Also, good for her.

    The Brutalist

    The best part: Adrien Brody
Things I liked: The writing of the first half
Things I disliked: The writing of the second half and epilogue
Things I hated: The pretentious, over-stylized credits

It’s a good movie overall. I wanted more of a showdown between two egomaniacs during the second half, and while the seeds were planted and definitely sprouted - the way the end played out left something to be desired. Adrien Brody shines as always & I would be happy to see him take home another Oscar.

    Flow

This movie is called FLOW because my tears were constantly flowing during the entire film. All of the water you see in this movie came directly from my tear ducts.
