Great movie showing the side of life many never get to see or don’t want to deal with. Black and white is an especially interesting creative choice because it heightens the contrast between the main characters and the broader French society that rejects them, without relying solely on the race/ethnicity element and focusing on the class dimension (but not entirely ignoring the impact of race as made clear in the dialogue).
