The prophet’s prophecies about becoming a prophet become prophecy.

This movies screenplay is absolutely gripping. The pace keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. It is a mind-boggling insight into the unfortunate archaic prejudices of the papacy and the Catholic Church. The twist at the end was unexpected but a welcome idea that really brings the story together. My biggest gripe with the film was how the bombings fit into the story other than as a tool to build tension.

This is one of those movies that you leave wondering “what did I just witness?” As time goes on and you ponder the movie more you either love it or hate it. I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It’s themes were clear, literally being hit over the head with them, but well executed. The body horror and visual style were so fascinating and unique. Like if Stanley Kubrick directed “The Thing” but with a poignant criticism of Hollywood’s unrealistic feminine beauty standards.
