Although a slow burn, especially at the beginning, Tarkovsky captures not only a beautifully bleak exploration of hope in a timeless and industrialized world, but also establishes and maintains an eerie tension that rivals any horror I've seen.
But there's nothing more that I admire; your eyes when they are downcast. In bursts of love inspired fire, and through the eyelash goes fast - a longing, dull call of desire.
