  If "Dogville" was painted by Van Gogh.

  (Also the story reminds me a lot of Ryan's daughter, with more flawed characters).

  Il y a deux types d'acteur dans ce film: ceux qui travaillent leur diction et ceux qui ne la travaillent pas.
  Quelques rares interlocuteurs convaincants (le médecin, la jeune Betty ou la femme de Maigret) au milieu d'un difficile enchaînement dialogué où, malgré sa prestance, Depardieu n'est plus que cette ombre imposante de l'affiche. La plupart du temps muet, son rôle es rendu quelque peu dérisoire. De beaux décors et une certaine variations de stratégies pour filmer les échanges justifient ma notation. Peut-être aussi la mélancolie générale de cette figure et le dernier plan.

  Definitely a good movie and a good surprise.
  The actors are awesome, Storaro's cinematography is awesome, the sets, the dialogues, the humour, the cast, everything is awesome.

  We're not talking about woody allen himself but it is a production of creativity and constructed thanks to the wonderful work of many people so that is what I'm judging right now. Can we accept the confortable reality of cinema ? The intricacies of the wrtiting and the emotions.
