  This film follows the extraordinary 2002 season of the Oakland A’s baseball team. They are faced with over whelming odds as they start the season with about 1/4 the money for salaries as some of the other competitive teams. Using statistics the General Manager is able to manufacture wins and bring them to the playoffs.
