objectively beautiful cinematography + beautiful score. but joe alwyn i know you’re british you can’t fool me
idk this just didn’t do it for me for many reasons, i’m genuinely surprised to see such consistently high reviews for a movie i’d deem as polarizing in actual content
I feel like maybe I’m not the target audience that eats this movie up….
A few thoughts — I generally have a stance that a good movie can:
1. Be made very well technically
2. Be enjoyable to watch
3. Be both 1 and 2!

I missed 25% of the movie by covering my face and shaking my head and actively saying “this is not for me dawg” out loud in the movie theater but the final campy scene made up for a little bit of the stress and gore for me
