Inspiring, empowering, feel-good film. Very lovely time all round. Except for the Pharell Williams music (sorry)
Really enjoyed this film. Carey Mulligan’s performance is crushing and painful, her stoicism is emotional and scene stealing. The make up department does a fab job at ageing Bradley.
Potentially too stylised as a film, people will either love it or hate it; but I did think the differences in ratio and colour helped show the passage of time and the growth in success and riches he cultivates for himself.
At this point… is Wes trying too hard to be Wes?
Aesthetically satisfying as per, and some amusing moments. But hard to keep up with and complicated for the sake of being complicated
