went in with no expectations and thought this was gorgeous. Initially was a bit apprehensive of the early scenes of their developing relationship - definitely some unease around the age gap was portrayed but while still allowing some sympathy for Elvis - but as the film continued it seemed to be part of a very deliberate arc where our feelings develop from mixed and hopeful to cautious to disappointed to done, in tandem with Priscilla's through the relationship. A thoughtful and considered depiction of how abuse and power shape relationships without demonstrating the protagonist as someone without autonomy
