    Don't Look Up

When I first saw the army of talented cast featured in this film, I thought ‘wow, I am in for a treat here’. However, after about 30 minutes, I was left bitterly disappointed. With bored, dry eyes I forced myself to remain focussed on the film; to painfully ‘stick with it’ like a wet plaster. At the beginning, the plot seemed so promising. Unfortunately, however, I think the plot got drunk at a bar and stumbled hopelessly through the rest…

This film is so sensational! Comer and Graham performed perfectly together; the raw bluntness of pain and emotion conveyed by the duo forces the watcher to look at the sorry state of our country. The film especially highlights the despicable neglect of carers and their residents during the Pandemic. Help is intentionally difficult to watch, with poignant moments scattered like bullets throughout. A must watch for anyone with a beating heart and a hardy conscience.

I am absolutely in love with this film! Although there are so many aspects of this film I enjoy, I think the progressive nature of the plot, and the general feel-good factor throughout, make this film so interesting. Littered with increasingly less subtle feminist revolts throughout, ‘Shirley Valentine’ is a must watch for all women, particularly those of the older generation.

This is the unaired Glee episode right? The one where they switched the usual cast with non-actors to provide a laugh for us all during the pandemic?
