The Brutalist 2024
"No matter what the others try and sell you, it is the destination, not the journey.”
The visuals are astonishing, and personally, the epilogue alone is worth half a star. Unfortunately, I thought I'd appreciate the narrative more than I did, and even though the run time wasn’t a problem for me, I found it especially difficult to connect with any particular aspect of the story. Nonetheless, it's one hell of a production, extremely powerful. It will probably sweep the Academy Awards.
