This movie always made me feel so warm, I loved growing up with sisters and ofc my mom, and Little Women always perfectly portrayed what that was like. Jo is me and I am Jo!!! Makes me feel so nostalgic <3 Also this movie introduced me to Winona Ryder, one of my all-time favorite actresses ever!

Miyazaki perfectly portrays what it’s like being a girl growing up into adulthood. How quickly you need to catch up with everyone else, and forgetting how to ground yourself in the middle of everything; losing passion for the things you onced loved. But above all, being with nature and spending the time to take care of yourself eventually heals all of those worries. Even though some things were lost.. you must persevere! Love these beautiful messages. This film is sooo underestimated and seen as an aesthetic light hearted movie!! Will always feel seen by Miyazaki through Kiki <3
