  The connection between the beginning of this film (Jep is introduced with his musing that his answer to what the most important thing in life is isn't, as it would be for a younger man, pussy, but rather the smell of old people's houses) and its end makes me wonderfully happy. As my boyfriend rightly points out this is not a writer's story. (Also, how wonderful is it, high society being the translation for the mondani...)
