    The House is an anthology film which tells three stories taking place in the same titular house: One about the past, another about the present and another about the future. Each having their own stories, characters and themes, and I guess even in terms of tone. It's a well done anxiety-inducing, creepy and unsettling experience. Very Herny Selick-esque or Laika-esque. I loved the stop motion animation, the production design, the character design and the cinematography has its moments.

    Still need to watch Summer Wars and Boy and the Beast, but wow, Mamoru Hosoda has knocked it out of the park with this one. It's definitely his best work. Apparently, it received the longest standing ovation at Cannes 2021 so of course I was curious to see if this was worthy of that. I kind of see why now.
