Double Jeopardy 1999
The concept is a bit simplified and vague, but the plot is interesting. The start of the film felt very rushed, but it made room for better playing out of the later part. So I think the beginning could have been done better with more tactful editing, however the concept makes up for it. Shocker that you could make me empathize with a cop.

After seeing wildly negative reviews from… a lot of people I thought I’d prove them wrong. Boy was that hard to watch. Ignoring the first joke everyone hated rightfully so, the entire special wasn’t even smile-eliciting funny. The content of the jokes was extremely bland: just anything every other basic person would comment on in pop culture. Some of his clips made me hopeful but truly this was not worth a minute of watch time. Not as problematic as some people claim, but isn’t that unique from… most straight white male comics content.
