Be careful not to get lost in the sauce while watching this movie. A fairly straightforward plot exploring colonialism is somewhat spiced up with the aspect of an expendable person, a human guinea pig who is remade after each death.
I think the direct reference trump - with Mark Ruffalo playing a ‘charismatic’ dictator/failed politician with red hat donning supporters - was refreshing. It was good to see a callout framed so straightforward.

Probably would’ve liked it more if I had seen it as a kid and had some nostalgia attached to it. Watching it as an adult kinda just resulted in all the content I’ve seen about it on social media overhyping it
