  Unusual, stylish, fun and thought-provoking satire that starts as a quirky comedy and develops into a sentimental take on social marginalisation.

  The eccentric aesthetic is definitely a prominent feature. Shot on iPhone, Liao Ming-yi as director and cinematographer transforms the technical limitations of the smartphone format into compelling pictorial verisimilitude. Rigid and symmetrical composition, deep focus, wide perspective, saturated complementary colours and noisy images construct an otherworldly dimension that reflects the characterisation of the key subjects.
